News and Announcements

Message from Scott Hackbarth:

What is needed:

  • Would appreciate 2-4 high school lax player to help ref 3v3 lax for two hours every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6-8.

When Are you Needed:

  • July 24- August 16.
  • Tuesday & Thursday each of those weeks from 6-8pm at Weston Elementary -East Fields

Why do this:

  • Money raised goes directly to the DCE High School Lax program.
  • It allows you to “pay it forward” for future generations of kids that will play DCE Lax by being a role model!

What do you need to do?:

  • Pretty simple to ref. Basically calling ball possession.
  • David and Scott will be around to call penalties – you just basically help out with this program.

Please email Mr. Hurt at Bodie_01@msn.com to let me know if/when you can help so we can communicate this to Mr. Hackbarth and Coach Beyer.

Thanks,
Mr. Hurt & Coach Beyer

Hey everyone,

Been a crazy start to the beginning of the summer can’t believe it’s almost half over already. Reason I am reaching out is to see if anyone is interested in playing or reffing in a Cobra Lacrosse League. Scott Hackbarth and Paul Clarke are running it and all money raised will help out the club. If you or know anyone that is interested please contact me at 9207379483 and I can get you any information that you need. I have also attached the league sign up.

Also, they are in need tonight of people helping out. If you are looking for something to do tonight please let me know ASAP!

Thank you, I highly encourage playing in this to help continue to develop your skills in the off seasons. Again if it interests you at all please reach out.

Thanks again,

Look forward to seeing many of you out there.

End of the Year Scrimmage
Today we will be wrapping up the season with our yearly tradition of having an end of the year scrimmage. As usual we will be splitting the teams between Seniors/Coaches/Few Freshman vs Rest of the returners. Look forward to ending the year with some relaxed and enjoyable lacrosse.

Time: 3:30-5:00
Place: Kennedy Park

- If you are unable to make it for a reason please let us know, but would be best to have everyone there to participate.

Other Notes:
Jersey Return
Just another reminder that we are still missing jerseys from a few players. We would like to have them back today (or end of the week at the very latest). The shorts and shooter shirt are yours to keep.

Those players are:
John Saris – #3
Hunter- #23
Nate – #24
Austin – #25
Noah – #33
Cole – #48

Thank you players for everything you did this year, all the hard work paid off. Lets keep it rolling.

Good morning Players,

Conferences

Tonight, as we had mentioned, we will be running some conferences for all of the players. These conferences are used to reflect on the year and your experiences as a player within the program. During these conferences, we will ask about your thoughts on the season overall, thoughts about us as coaches, and details about your own personal play. We would like you to be completely honest with us about all of these topics as we use this information to reflect on and grow our program.

In order to keep things moving smoothly, and not keep you too late, we will be running conferences with a few players at a time. I have a schedule put together of who will be meeting at which times. It can be accessed here:

Conference Schedule

While not meeting with us, I would like everyone else to be in the weight room working out. This will allow us to know where everyone is, and easily grab you to meet in the film room when finished with the time slot. The quicker we can grab everyone, the quicker the conferences will go.

Seniors, I know many of you are on a field trip today. For this reason, I did not schedule any of you today. We will be meeting with you tomorrow before our scrimmage.

Jerseys

There are six players that need to turn in their jerseys yet…

John Saris, Hunter Sutter, Nate Lampkin, Austin Gribowski, Noah Witte, Cole Seymour

If you could please bring your jersey tonight or tomorrow, we would appreciate that.

End of Year Scrimmage

Tomorrow, we will be playing in our annual end of the year scrimmage. This is meant as a goodbye to our seniors and should be a fun time for everyone. Meet at Kennedy after school during our normal practice time to wrap up the season!

Have a great day!

Sincerely,

D.C. Everest Lacrosse Coaching Staff

Practice tonight

Posted by D.C. Everest Evergreens Lacrosse at May 30, 2018 10:15AM PDT

Gentlemen:

We are going to start practice in the conference room at 315 tonight. We want to go over tomorrow’s game as well as the mentality we need to make a push toward the post season. We will then be determining how th Ernest of practice will be run. Coach Paul brought up a good point as he mentioned we are most likely going to be playing in the rain tomorrow so we need to practice in it. So, unless there are thunderstorms, we will be outside for a short period of time.

Remember: to dry out your equipment as your stick we will talk about it more at the end of practice.

If you are picked up please let your ride know you will be at greenheck to be picked up.

Thanks
